Frozen Strawberry Margarita - Two Ways
Delicious and refreshing frozen strawberry margaritas that are guaranteed to get the party started!

Every Saturday night Jaryd and I have date night, which basically means we have dinner just the two of us once the kids go to bed, and have a drink (or two). Well, one day I was sitting around, lounging in the post-bedtime silence and Jaryd walks up and hands me a frozen strawberry margarita.

Frozen Strawberry Margarita - Two Ways

WHATT!! It was such a fun surprise and I was totally overcome by gratitude. Fun and pretty drink for fiesta date night? Don’t mind if I do! That man sure knows the way to my heart.

Obviously, I made him tell me the exact measurements for EVERYTHING so I could share with you guys! You’ll lovee these! Plus, with Cinco de Mayo is peeking around the corner, and I couldn’t think of a better drink to get the partay started.

Frozen Strawberry Margarita - Two Ways

I made these margaritas at 10am one morning so I could photograph them for you guys. As photographing wrapped, I didn’t feel quite right drinking alllll of the margs, so I poured them into some popsicle molds to keep them nice and frozzzzen. GUYS! These are so fun as popsicles and I couldn’t be more psyched to share with you frozen strawberry margaritas TWO WAYS!!

So let’s get blending because you know nobody really puts their party pants on until tequila shows up.

In your food processor, place the ice, frozen strawberries, lime juice, agave nectar, tequila, and triple sec.

Frozen Strawberry Margarita - Two Ways

Blend until nice and combined and slushy (but not melty slushy, like thick delicious slush happiness).

If you want to make traditional margaritas, place some kosher salt on a plate. Drag a lime around the brim of the glass and then turn the glass upside down on the plate so the brim is nice and salty.

Frozen Strawberry Margarita - Two Ways

Pour the margarita into the glass and garnish with lime!

If you’re making the pops, fill each pop half way. Melt additional frozen berries in the microwave so they get nice and juicy.

Frozen Strawberry Margarita - Two Ways

Add a layer of the melty berries into the pop and then fill the pop molds the rest of the way with the margaritas. Insert the sticks into the center of the popsicles and freeze for at least 24 hours.

Frozen Strawberry Margarita - Two Ways

It takes a while to freeze fully, so don’t mess with them until 24+ hours when they’re frozen through.

If you’re looking for good popsicle molds, I have THESE and love them!
