It’s been a wild ride getting to this point, but here are the cliff notes:
I met my husband in college. It was love at first sight… for him 🙂 I, on the other hand, rejected his advances, rolled my eyes at his jokes, and, found him to be kind of obnoxious. Then one day, he made me laugh. The rest is history.
Jaryd enjoys eating salad. He never misses his morning run. He has a 20 story threshold before he even considers taking an elevator. I, on the other hand, am a second piece of cake kind of girl. Shortly before our first wedding anniversary my husband was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. The diagnosis changed our lives.
I oscillated between 1) tasteless recipes I found online and pretending I enjoyed it, and 2) making two separate meals. But let’s be real, there were also many nights of 3) “You’re on your own, buddy.” I was having a really hard time finding recipes online that fit both his newfound dietary needs and my tastebuds.
So, I started this blog. This little nook of the internet where I share my recipes and experiences with you. I want cooking healthy to be easy, whether you have a new dietary requirement, or you just want to cook a wholesome meal for your family.
