You guys didn’t think I’d let Valentine’s Day pass us by without making some fun chocolate covered strawberries, right?
It had to happen! Chocolate covered strawberries are THE easiest things to make! I remember when I was in high school, my mom and I made these every chance we got. They’ve been a staple for every special occasion because they’re such an easy, fun dessert.
PLUS! You get those oohs and aaahs!! No matter what else is on the dessert table, chocolate covered strawberries are a no-fail crowd pleaser. They’re bound to bring the excitement.
You can get totally creative with the things you drizzle and sprinkle. Ideas: peanut butter drizzle, cookie crumble, actual adorable sprinkles, gold flakes? No joke we went to a birthday party this weekend and there were cupcakes with golden flakes. OMG they were so fun!! I ate one 🙊 And by ate one, I mean I waited until my child was looking the other way and stole a bite of the top of their cupcake because that’s how I roll.

What You’ll Need:
- chocolate chips
- white chocolate chips
- strawberries, rinsed and completely dried
- freeze-dried strawberries, chopped nuts, or whatever else you want to sprinkle on top of the chocolate
How to make the best Chocolate Covered Strawberries:
Place a piece of parchment paper on a baking sheet or cutting board. This will help keep the strawberries flat once you transfer them to the fridge to to harden.
Melt your dark chocolate in a bowl. Melt the white chocolate in a separate bowl. Once smooth, transfer the white chocolate to a plastic baggie and cut off the smallest tip of one corner.
Holding the strawberries by the stem, dip them into the dark chocolate and place them on a piece of parchment paper. After you’ve done about five, drizzle some with the white chocolate by going back and forth across the strawberry as you squeeze the baggie.
On other strawberries, I crumbled some freeze-dried strawberries which added a fun color and crunch. Continue this process until you’ve done all the strawberries. Once they’re all chocolate coated and drizzled and sprinkled as you like, transfer them to the fridge to harden for about 20 minutes.
