At some point in preparation for new year festivities, I determined I needed more alcohol in my life. HA! Just kidding, but also not kidding (insert shifty eyes and awkward laugh)… Ehem… What I’m trying to say is I perused my “drink” section and wanted to round it out a bit. I decided to do a weekly #thirstythursday series until I got bored of it. Here goes…

Last week I went with some fun Black Cherry Grapefruit Mimosas. So light and refreshing! So this week I went SUPER indulgent (sorry). I just couldn’t help myself. This is one of those drinks that you eat half your dinner and then have this for dessert because it’s so sweet and delicious and you’ll want like five but should probably stop at two (head up, five’s a bad idea).

But, definitely two is appropriate.

Make these for your next girls night, your next winter party, they’re perfect for a cozy Valentine’s day… shoot, I’m over here sipping this bad boy in my jammies, sporting a facemask, and some trashy shows in the background. You do you. If you want to stay in and veg out and sip a boozy white hot chocolate, this is a judgment free zone, my friends.

Aaaand back on topic. I’m a big proponent of going big. And these white, puffy, clouds of happiness in the form of a drinkable bevie are balls to the walls amazing. I strongly suggest you make yourself one. I strongly suggest you make your bestie one. And I think you should probably make one for everyone you meet and the world will be a happier place. Ok, rambling over.

Just make them ok?

I know there are some people out there that mayy not like the alcohol. Don’t worry. This is still amazing if you leave it out. Designated drivers are welcome too 🙂

So let’s get this P. Diddy white party started and make some insanely delicious boozy white hot chocolates!

Place the whole milk in a saucepan and warm over medium heat. Add the white chocolate chips and whisk. Keep the heat medium-low. You want it to simmer, but not bubble over.

Next, you want to slightly slice open your Madagascar Vanilla Bean. Scrape the insides of the pod out and put it in the saucepan.

Continue to whisk until everything is combined and smooth.

While the chips are melting in the saucepan, Add the heavy whipping cream to an electric mixture and whip it until almost completely firm. Add the agave and vanilla and continue to whip until there are firm peaks and it turns into whip cream!

Remove from the heat and whisk in the Bailey’s.

Pour the boozy white hot chocolate into individual glasses. Top with the homemade whip.

Sprinkle the top of the whip cream with some unsweetened cocoa powder, additional white chocolate shavings, and a pinch of sea salt.

Confession: These are higher carb than I normally post on the blog, so please be mindful of the nutrition facts. If you want to decrease the carb count, use a dark chocolate (60% cacao or more) instead of the white chocolate. Then it’s just boozy hot chocolate and undoubtedly still delicious 🙂
