Hey hey everyone! So here’s the deal. I perused my “drink” section on the blog and think it’s severely lacking. Why? I’m not completely sure. Turns out, I drink a lot of wine and water and don’t make too many dranks.

Um, hello autocorrect. Hi, it’s me, Lindsay. I want you to know that yes sometimes I use the word dranks, so please don’t correct it to drinks unless I super de duper want you to and actually want the i version kthx.

But since today is THURSDAYYY I decided I’m doing a #thirstythursday series to give you babes alll the alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks I can think of. Some will be coffee or milkshakes, but you’re damn sure there will be cocktails in there too, so. You’re welcome.

I’m all inclusive when it comes to drinks, you know? Gotta keep the thirst quenched. So let’s pull this #thirstythursday train out of the station, first stop? Mimosas!! What? Too far with the train analogy? Ok, noted.

My landlord gave me a bottle of champagne, and we all enjoy mimosas on Christmas morning. It got the brain juices going. Mimosas! Let’s play around with that a bit! Since New Years is coming up, I wanted a fun champs recipe for your enjoyment so here goes.

OH! And the color, you guys. The color makes me way too happy. This would also be super cute for a girlie baby shower and just nix the champs for the preggos and sub with some sparkling soda. Wedding showers, Eater, basically any scenario where drinking is appropriate, I say bring the black cherry grapefruit mimosas. Because, why not?

So this is super simple, here goes.

First, juice half a grapefruit. Strain the juice into a cup and then divide the juice into two champagne glasses.

Then, add a splash of black cherry soda. I used this one and really love it because it’s zero calorie, zero carbs, and uses natural ingredients 🙂

Finally, pour in the champs. The ombré effect as really beautiful with the different layers, but it’s best stirred.

Garnish with some sliced grapefruit, or cherries and enjoy!! p.s. check out my hand model husband (he’s a natural)!!
