How to make fajita seasoning
Ditch store bought fajita seasoning packets and make your own! Enjoy this super fun and easy DIY homemade fajita seasoning recipe!

After I saw how much you guys loved my homemade taco seasoning, I started thinking about other seasoning mixtures I could share. On the top of my seasoning mixture list was this little fajita number.

I have some other mixes I want to share, but if you have some requests, let them in the comments below!!

Buying a spice packet is probably the easiest method when you’re making tacos or fajitas. I get it, I buy them all the time because they are so stinkin’ easy and convenient. But, I’ve also had many many moments where I have all the ingredients to make tacos or fajitas and I didn’t have a spice packet.

How to make fajita seasoning

Instead of ditching the whole meal and eating cereal, I’m here to tell you you may never have to buy a spice packet again. You can make your own spice mix with the spices you already have in your spice rack.

Whether you’re making chicken, steak shrimp, or veggie fajitas, this is the perfect mix to get you going. You ready?

This has eight spices in it: smoked paprika, cumin, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, dried oregano, onion powder, salt, and pepper. So moral or the story, don’t give up on your fajita dreams if you forgot to buy the spice packet. This mixture will make they perfectly spiced and delicioso!

Place all the spices in a bowl bowl or jar and mix to combine!

Store in an airtight container until ready to use!

Do you use the entire recipe on one meal? Or how much do you use?

I use most if not all of it. It depends how spicy you like the meat 🙂

This combination of spices was perfect. I used it with 1 1/2 lbs of strips of flank steak, onions and peppers. The aroma of these spices cooking with the meat was wonderful.
