Every Saturday night Jaryd and I have date night, which basically means we have dinner just the two of us once the kids go to bed, and have a drink (or two). Well, one day I was sitting around, lounging in the post-bedtime silence and Jaryd walks up and hands me a frozen strawberry margarita.
These cinnamon crunch muffins are such a perfect breakfast muffin. Their cinnamon and caramel flavor is even more delicious with your morning coffee!
Oh hey muffin hey. Yep, I’m on a muffin kick if you couldn’t tell. Last week I went just muffin tops, if you do recall. But NOWWWSKI, now I’m doing the whole shebang. Muffin top AND bottom, y’all! Brace yourself…
My husband is the falafel king. Ok, maybe there are one or a billion restaurants that may dispute that but there was a period in our marriage when we were eating falafel every other night as Jaryd perfected his craft. We’re kinda obsessed with falafel.
A couple weeks ago we impulsively got onion rings at a restaurant. I can say pretty confidently that in our entire relationship we have NEVER ordered onion rings. Maybe once in college we got a bloomin’ onion at Outback with some friends. Generally it’s not one of our go to eats.
Today is so pretty out! I’m definitely busting out the shorts after a short winter hiatus. I used to think southern California was a shorts all year kind of place. I think for the most part, it can be. My salty east coast self would grumble from under my parka, “They don’t know cold.” But, after living here for almost a year, I have to say, this winter was a bit chilly!!
Love these Pesto + Sausage Sweet Potato Noodles for an easy weeknight meal that you can throw together in a pinch!
I threw this dinner together one night on my Insta stories and a bunch of you asked for the recipe. Today I’m sharing it here on da blog AND you can watch me make it in the video above. If you haven’t checked out my YouTube recently, hop on over and say hi! I upload cooking vids (and some other random fun ones) every Tuesday and Friday! I’d love to have you be a part of my YouTube fam!!
I don’t remember my weekly breakfasts too much as a kid. I remember in high school eating a lot of oatmeal and hot chocolate. I remember eating eggs here and there, and waffles were always a welcomed meal. College was all about enjoying a coffee and muffin during my first morning class. Nowadays, breakfasts are tough for me.
It’s here, it’s here!! I’ve been wanting to make paella forevaa!! It’s always been in the back of my mind, but I’ve never made a paella before and it felt intimidating. Guys, paella is SO much easier than you think!! Crazy easy.
This one time when I was about 12 years old, I was down the shore with my friend Laura. As we talked about how hungry we were, I realized my mom would keep tastycakes in the freezer. I grabbed two for a snack, one for me, one for Laura. Well, I tossed her the package…
I know weeknight dinners can be hard. I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to them because I know they can be super rushed, un-inspired, and overall just… boring.
