Turmeric Cauliflower Rice

LOVE this easy to make Turmeric Cauliflower Rice!! Add some roasted salmon or grilled chicken on top and you have a colorful, flavorful, and delicious gluten free meal!

  • 1 sweet onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, pressed
  • 1 head cauliflower, riced
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/3 cup sliced almonds, toasted
  • handful chopped herbs like parsley or cilantro


  1. Add the chopped onion to a pan with avocado oil and turn the heat over medium high heat.
  2. Sauté, stirring frequently for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the garlic and continue to sauté until the onion is caramelized and reduced, another 3 – 5 minutes.
  4. Add the cauliflower rice.
  5. I used frozen cauliflower rice because it makes my life THAT much easier.

  7. Continue to cook until the cauliflower rice is softened, about 3 minutes.
  8. Add the turmeric, sea salt, and black pepper and continue to cook for another couple minutes.
  9. Toss in the dried cranberries, toasted almonds, chopped herbs.
