Bacon Wrapped Dates with Goat Cheese

Bacon wrapped dates with goat cheese are an easy, three-ingredient game day appetizer that are also perfect for holiday parties!

Ingredients

  • 16 Medjool dates
  • 4 oz. goat cheese
  • 8 strips of thin sliced bacon
  • 2 teaspoons honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Slice the dates on one side lengthwise to remove the pit and any stem at the top. Discard the pit.
  3. Place a couple teaspoons of goat cheese into the center of the date and close the date.
  4. Cut the bacon slices in half.
  5. Wrap the bacon around the date and secure it with a toothpick. 
  6. Place of bacon dates on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. 
  7. Bake for 10 minutes. 
  8. After the 10 minutes, flip the dates and bake for another 8 – 10 minutes. 
  9. Transfer the baked dates to a serving plate. 
  10. Optional: heat up your honey and drizzle it on top of the dates. This adds an extra layer of sweetness which is totally unnecessary and extra delicious!
