I’m pretty excited about pumpkin season y’all. I kind of feel ridiculous about it, actually. But! It’s September 1st and I am ready to give you some fall-inspired dishes. I’ve got plannns, you know? Pumpkiny plans. Nevermind that it’s so hot and sweaty here that I’m running out this afternoon to buy some fans… that’s besides the point.
So, you know what I’m super impressed by? People that meal prep every single meal every single Sunday for the week ahead. I mean, it seems like such a great idea. They spend a Sunday morning cooking, then just pack each serving in containers so they can just grab and go.
I like granola without oats. Maybe that makes it more like a nutty trail mix, but let’s be honest, a trail mix always has one or two items that you avoid when your each your hand into that bag. For me, it’s the raisins.
I’m always looking for fun and new breakfasts because it’s one meal I’m always struggling to keep healthy. Jaryd is an egg guy and could probably eat eggs every morning for ever and ever, the end. I get sick of eating one thing over and over and so I’m constantly need variety.
Remember all the amazing sugary cereal of the 90’s? I mean I suppose it’s still out there going strong but there was something magical about that cereal isle as a kid. Bright happy boxes, adorable cartoon characters, sugaaar. You feel me.
