I get a bunch of questions as to what food processor I use or what blender I recommend, so I thought I’d share my top 12 favorite kitchen gadgets that I keep in my kitchen.
These are items I use regularly and always grab when I’m developing or making one of my recipes.
Head to my YouTube channel and watch me deep dive into each of these items 🙂
Food processor: my most used kitchen gadget is hands down my food processor! I’ve had it since Jaryd and I first got engaged and it’s seen a lot of use and love but is still going strong. I love using it from everything from homemade nut butter to dressings to no bake desserts. It’s the one gadget that I would choose above all others. Check out the one I have HERE!
Vitamix: If you already have a food processor and want to step up your smoothie game or was your dressings to be super smooth and your food processor is just not cutting it. You need to get a good blender. I love making blender pancakes or banana ice cream. If you’re looking for a bomb blender, this is the one I have and I love it!
Spiralizer: I’ve had two spiralizers in my life. And this inspiralizer is the best one by far. I love the larger suction cups and the sleek design, I love the easy turn of the blades that change the veggie noodle size. It’s my favorite spiralized I’ve tried so if you’re in the market for one, this is your best bet in my opinion!
Mini KitchenAid: I used to have a larger standing mixer but once I got this smaller one, I couldn’t help but fall in love. It takes up way less space in my house, I never feel like it’s too small, and it still comes with the hook and paddle so you’re still getting all the bells and whistles. If you’re a big batch baker, maybe opt for the regular size mixer, but for me, the mini is perfect. Check it out here!
Electric handheld mixer: When I want something super quick, I just grab my handheld electric mixer. It’s perfect for mixing together some cookie dough or fluffing some egg whites. I think it’s the best to have options and this handheld mixer is great! Check it out on amazon here!
Vegetable peeler: Guys, it’s more than a vegetable peeler. I’ve used this to make a beautiful carrot ribbon salad or butternut squash lasagna. It’s super handy dandy and I think a good jammed up kitchen utensil drawer would not be complete without one. Grab one here!
Lemon juicer: I used to use a juicer and then strain the juice but I love how this lemon juicer is a simple squeeze and it both strains out the seeds and juices the citrus. I use it pretty regularly whether it’s adding some lemon to my water or to a sauce. Check out the one I have here!
Garlic press: If you’re using fresh garlic, you need a garlic press. It’s a simple squeeze and you have perfectly pressed garlic. Plus you turn it and there’s a little cleaner thing that presses the garlic from the little cavity to help you remove it. It’s hard to describe but trust, it is amazing. Grab yoself one here.
Microplane: You need a zester, you guys. You can grate some ginger or add some citrus zest to your dish. I don’t use this too often, but whenever I do, I always feel super grateful and impressed by the flavor it adds. Get one on amazon here!
Ice cream scooper: It’s more than just an ice cream scooper. I mean, yes scoop as much ice cream as you want. But, it does so much more! I love utensils that serve multi-purposes. I use an ice cream scooper for scooping batter into muffin tins, making equally portioned cookies, scooping some pancake batter into a pan. So many options! Get yourself one here! Also grab yourself a cookie scooper because they scoop out perfectly sized bliss balls!
Air fryer: New to my kitchen this year and I have been loving experimenting with it! Try this recipe for chicken thighs, you’ll never be able to make chicken any other way! Whether you’re just someone who loves herself some kitchen gadgets or if you’re in a cooking rut and just want to step out of your routine, try out an air fryer!
Intant pot: There are so many great recipes online for your pressure cooker. I have these pork tacos and this chicken zoodle soup and think it’s such a quick and easy way to get dinner on the table. Plus, I love how juicy and tender it makes meat. I don’t have any but there are apparently a bunch of IP accessories you can buy and play around with. Grab yourself an Instant Pot here!
