Gingerbread latte is so simple to make at home and better than any coffee shop! Only seven ingredients and three minutes is all you need!

Gingerbread latte is going to be your favorite cozy beverage to curl up with this winter. It’s perfectly spiced with holiday flavor and once you see how simple to make at home you’re going to skip those Starbuck’s trips!

I’m always down to switch up my latte. I love lattes. Lattes are a constant in my life. But, as the seasons change I think it’s so fun to switch up the flavors.

It’s cozy. Easy to make. Delicious! Perfect for these chilly months. When you have some guests over this is the perfect drink to sip as you sit by the fire.

May I even suggest a gingerbread latte bar? Make a mugs of gingerbread lattes and allow your guests to add their favorite toppings. Add some bowls of ginger cookies, sprinkles, cinnamon sticks, candy canes, and more so everyone can customize their own mugs!

Ingredients for this Gingerbread Latte

  • Milk: You can use any milk you like! I used oat milk because I’ve been obsessed with it lately, but dairy milk or nut milk works too!
  • Espresso: your favorite espresso!
  • Agave Nectar: This is what I’m using to sweeten this latte up – you can also use honey or maple syrup if you prefer, or if you want it less sweet, just leave it out!
  • Spices! I’m talking ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice! This spice combo is going to give this latte the perfect gingerbread flavor!
  • Whipped Cream: Totally optional but highly recommended, finish your latte off with a generous dollop of whipped cream.
This is an overhead image of four items: a small pink bowl of spices, a tablespoon of agave nectar, a measuring cup of milk, and a small clear glass with espresso. The items sit on a white counter.

How to Make a Gingerbread Latte

In the blender

Warm the milk and place all the ingredients in a blender. Blend on high for 30 seconds to 1 minute until combined and frothy. Divide between two mugs and top with whipped cream.

In a jar

Add the warm milk and all the ingredients in a jar with a lid. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds until all the ingredients are combined. Divide between two mugs and tp with whipped cream.

On the stovetop

Place all the ingredients in a medium pot and whisk frequently over medium heat. Once warmed through and all the ingredients are incorporated, divide between mugs and top with whipped cream.

Tips & Tricks

Try and iced latte. No need to warm the milk! Blend the ingredients in the blender or shake it in a jar until all the ingredients are combined. Fill up a glass with ice and pour the cold latte over it.

Spike it! Add some Bailey’s or Kahlua for a fun boozy option!

Warm the milk but don’t boil it. You want to warm the milk through but don’t make it too hot! You don’t want to burn your (or your guests) tongues!

Incredible! This latte was on my mind when I went to bed, so I prepped everything and made it for me and the hubs first thing this morning. Instead of agave I used pure maple syrup and 6 shots of espresso with slightly toasted spices. You nailed the gingerbread latte Lindsay, it’s a win!!! ❤️🤤
