Almond Cashew Chocolate Milk
The other day my son asked for chocolate milk. Well, first he asked for milk and when I told him it was Sunday and we were completely out of groceries and I hadn’t had the chance to get to the store to pick up some staples to get us through. He looked at me blankly and then asked for chocolate milk.
So then I made a decision. I told him, that I was going to make him a super special amazing chocolate milk that was a million times better than that old stinky chocolate milk he wanted because mine… mine had chocolate chips in it.
He was intrigued. But, he also kinda wanted to throw a fit and so he had an undercurrent of resistance because he wanted SO BADLY to hate whatever I was about to make him. He secretly wanted to throw himself on the floor to really make a show of how much I had failed at keeping our fridge stocked with a gallon of milk.
So we threw some things in a blender. I let them sneak a couple a couple chocolate chips for good measure and then I poured them glasses of this special chocolate milk.
The glimmer in his eye and sneaky smile that slide across my son’s face during his first sip. He wanted so badly to hate it. And yet, he couldn’t deny the chocolatey goodness that I had made him. He drank his whole glass. My other son drank his whole glass. I drank mine.
And then we made more.

Easy dairy free Almond Cashew Chocolate Milk that you can make in your blender! Only four ingredients and a wholesome drink your family will love!
- 3 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 3 tablespoons cashew butter
- 2 tablespoons agave nectar (honey or maple syrup works too)
- Place the almond milk, chocolate chips, cashew butter, and agave nectar in a blender.
- Blend until completely combined and chocolatey.
- Drink immediately or warm up in the microwave or stovetop to make hot chocolate.
