Memorial Day is only a couple weeks away which means it’s the unofficial kickoff to summer aka my favorite season. I have a newfound love for grilling because it’s something you can prep hours in advance (hello juicy marinade), but it’s also easy cleanup and makes dinner come together in minutes. Woot woot!
The unofficial start to summer is only a couple weeks away. Two things immediately come to mind. First, it’s grilling season, baby!! Second, fresh and crunchy salads are my jam. Lately? I want something refreshing with a sweet and tangy taste that has that, “I need to eat this entire plate and grab some seconds” urgency about it.
Have you ever bought salmon burgers from the store and say to yourself… hmm, I should try making these. I did one summer. We were having salmon burgers on repeat with a mustard aioli that we just couldn’t get enough of.
So I got a manicure AND pedicure today. This is kinda a big deal for me. I never get them because 1) kids and 2) time and 3) kids. But, things ave been more flexible so I took the opportunity to indulge a bit. Normally I hate it because they do your toes and then they do your fingers and then you wait and wait and countless hours of your life are gone.
Sometimes I just throw things into a bowl and they turn out unexpectedly delicious. Its great because then you get some yummy eats, but sometimes I get bummed out that I didn’t take pictures and record every measurement. haha It’s like I forget I’m a food blogger or something!! What was I thinking?!
