The unofficial start to summer is only a couple weeks away. Two things immediately come to mind. First, it’s grilling season, baby!! Second, fresh and crunchy salads are my jam. Lately? I want something refreshing with a sweet and tangy taste that has that, “I need to eat this entire plate and grab some seconds” urgency about it.
Today is so pretty out! I’m definitely busting out the shorts after a short winter hiatus. I used to think southern California was a shorts all year kind of place. I think for the most part, it can be. My salty east coast self would grumble from under my parka, “They don’t know cold.” But, after living here for almost a year, I have to say, this winter was a bit chilly!!
I’ve been craving Mexican food hard lately. Whether it’s nachos or quesadillas, I’ve been craving that spicy, cheesy goodness. I don’t know what it is, but at least once a week I’m reaching for those Mexican-inspired flavors.
I struggle with breakfasts. It’s true. I want to start the day off right because I feel like it sets the tone for the whole day, but some mornings I just can’t think of what “right” is.
You know the day before you go food shopping where you just throw some stuff in a bowl and call it dinner? That’s kinda how this yumminess happened. And I loved every second of it.
