There are some combinations that should never be messed with: 1) milk and chocolate chip cookies; 2) milk and chocolate cake; 3) chocolate and peanut butter. Here’s the thing: I looooove Reese’s peanut butter cups. A couple Halloweens back I bought one bag of Reese’s for the trick or treaters and one bag for me. For about two days straight I lived solely on Reese’s cups and coffee. Not my finest moment.
Sooo, I have a secret. As you may or may not have picked up from my previous hummus recipe, IIIIIII get a weee, ity bity little bit sick of hummus from time to time. I know, blasphemy. Perhaps this is self-inflicted, but we go through hummus spurts that leaves me feeling very over hummus. I’ve tried different hummus recipes but they never really stick. So, I tend to constantly be searching for healthy snacks that aren’t hummus.
Soo you guys hear about this new cauliflower pizza crust craze? It’s like this whole thing that’s going on. I see at least a handful of cauliflower crusted pizzas each night in my newsfeed. Maybe it’s the whole30 trend, but I kind of love that people are exploring (and loving) new ways to eat veggies!! After a few attempts dorking around with my own cauli crust recipe, I think I finally have come up with one you’ll hands down love.
OK! I have my naptime latte and am ready to sit down a type a post for you peeps 🙂 Er, I need one more sip before we begin. Ok, that was more like 3 gulps, but now I’m READY!!!
It’s Friday, Friday! Gotta get down on Friday!! Happy Friday everyone!!
What are you guys up to this weekend? We are planning on getting into the holiday spirit and picking out our Christmas tree this weekend. The last few years we’ve traveled a half hour to a farm, picked out the perfect tree, and hauled it back into the city. I’m not so sure about that this year… My city kids aren’t too keen on the car. There’s this guy that sells Christmas trees at the end of our street. I have no idea who he is, where he gets the trees, or if he even has a permit to sell there. Every year he just shows up with trees and sets them up on the sidewalk. I kind of want to support his Philly hustle. I bet he also sells soft pretzels from a shopping cart outside Citizen’s Bank Park.
Um, let’s talk about this salad. As a general rule, I like goodies in my salad. Jam packed. It doesn’t have to be a wide variety, or anything crazy. I just like when salads have fun, fruity, crunchy, cheesy surprises in them. It really makes the salad eating process more enjoyable. This salad has the perfect trifecta: sweet fruit, sharp cheese, and toasted nuts. Sign me up!
