I love making homemade nut milk. It doesn’t last too long in my house, but nonetheless, I love making it. It’s so fresh and delicious. I love how you can customize the flavors, the sweetness, and make it your own. Up until this week I always just discarded the leftover pulp. Then I decided to do something fun…
There are some combinations that should never be messed with: 1) milk and chocolate chip cookies; 2) milk and chocolate cake; 3) chocolate and peanut butter. Here’s the thing: I looooove Reese’s peanut butter cups. A couple Halloweens back I bought one bag of Reese’s for the trick or treaters and one bag for me. For about two days straight I lived solely on Reese’s cups and coffee. Not my finest moment.
When we first moved to California we took a bike ride to Balboa Island. At a red light, there was this lady who was finishing up a run and we got talking. Naturally our “bahh we just moved here” came out within the first sentence and if nothing else I remember from the conversation, I remember she told us we HAD to have a chocolate covered banana.
I don’t mean to sound too much like Jerry Seinfeld, but what’s the deal with mattress pads?! We’ve been sleeping on the worst mattress ever for… um 10 years. What’s so bad about it, you ask? We hacked it from a condo my mom sold and the new owners didn’t want it so obviously the poor college students would take it. At 20, I didn’t think twice about it. But now, as an adult, I’m pretty sure this is in the top 5 grossest things I’ve ever done.
You guys!! I’ve spent sooo much time thinking about, dreaming about, experimenting, making, and eating chocolate chip cookies. I’ve been wanting that chewy, moist, pull apart, can’t get enough, eat ’em until they’re gone cookie.
