Easter is less than a week away and I’m feeling the urge to make ALL the carrot cake recipes I can think of 😆 I’m one of those people that doesn’t plan far enough in advance and then the week of the holiday comes up and I’m like baahh I gotta get on it.
Fact about me: I really love carrot cake. I know, I know. It’s so unexpected. I’m all about chocolate and cookies and rich desserts. How can I like a dessert with a root veggie in it?
This week has been unbearable for me. UNBEARABLE. I am soo sick. It’s that kind of sick that just. doesn’t. go. away. Sad face. Whimper. And I have these two sick kids and everyone is just so cranky, and feeling icky. I’m ready for next week to start so we can just press the reset button and start over again. Ok, bitch fest over.
Hanukkah is just around the corner, and what kind of food blogger would I be if I didn’t make some latkes?! For those that don’t know the lingo: latkes = potato pancakes. When I first tried latkes, I was a bit uncertain if I’d like them. I like hash browns and I love potatoes, but usually I pair them with ketchup. The sour cream and applesauce threw me off a bit.
