You guys. I’m on a mission. I really want to find a low carb bread that is totally sandwich-able. Something I can make avo toast, and french toast, and basically ALLLL the toasts with, you know? I’ve found some store-bought low carb breads here and there, BUT I’m a food blogger and I need to make my own, you know?
So I was up for new glasses. J is switching jobs and we decided to use our glasses benefit before we switch eyeball insurance. OMG this this most mundane first two sentences of a blog post evaaa. It gets better though. You know it gets good because all good stories start with a seemingly mundane activity. Like buying eyeglasses.
I remember the first time I ever had a scone. There is this little cafe in the shore town my parents live in and my mom and I popped in for a treat. I was probably 12. There were these beautiful rustic mounds of pastry deliciousness that I’ve never encountered before. But, I saw chocolate chunks and I had to take the chance.
This past winter I went to a cookie swap at my neighbor’s house. Jen, if you’re reading this, hiii!! Anyway, one of the appetizers she had was a roasted red pepper dip. There was some buzz about walnuts and feta and I knew it was something I needed to recreate.
