When I got a donut pan, my goal was to make ALL THE DONUTS. I had some really high hopes and tons of ideas. Then I made a chocolate donut, a vanilla donut, and then put my donut pan away for a good 6 months. Welp, it’s back baby!!
One of my favorite family gatherings is Sunday brunch. I just love getting together and whether you go out for a bite or decide to have a lazy day at home, I think it’s a perfect tradition to connect and touch base and share a meal.
This past weekend we went to a vegan food festival. I like vegan food and adopt some vegan yumminess into my everyday life. I ate vegan tacos and HOLY MOLY. My mind was blown. Who knew “chicken” could be so delicious?!
So the other day Jaryd and I had the opportunity to go have lunch by ourselves. Like a mini midday date. We decided on a place and were psyched to try something new. As we drove by the restaurant, it was PACKED. I mean, line out the door, cramped, scour for seating kind of packed. I had an unexpected urge of repulsion.
I love that sea salt emerged in the last few years in a very unexpected way. I remember walking into my corner Starbucks (probably 6 years ago) and giving their Salted Caramel Latte a whirl. My life was changed. Salted is the answer to my sweet and salty cravvving!! You know why you love chocolate covered pretzels? The salt. It’s a classic combo that has really come into its own.
